we recognise four and five piece bands as small bands and ideal for smaller events where logistics and budget may preclude the use use of a bigger band
small bands are used to playing for numbers in the 50 - 150 and in a variety of hotel, restaurant and other unusual locations including marquees and river cruisers
these small bands combine vocals and instrumentals and some include a sax in the line-up - the prices start at £800 plus VAT and some of the most popular bands charge up to £3500 plus VAT - a very wide price spectrum
it's party music all the way and ideal for family celebrations and dinner dances where live music
duos and trios
modern technology means that just two or three players can sound like a much bigger group
the use of backing tracks gives guitarists, keboard players and saxophonists the chance to combine with vocals but not to need the live support of bass and drums
the advantages are cost and space savings with the price bracket for duos and trios being in the £400 to £1000 plus VAT region
there are dozens of boy/girl duos based on one instrument plus vocals and tracks - very few offer top draw quality but do offer very good value
available space and budget are usually the key considerations and it makes good sense to consider these points carefully before making enquiries
this category covers two to four singers and musicians but the use of modern technology often means a much fuller sound can be obtained from a comparatively small unit
