covers bands

we define a covers band as a versatile unit combining instrumental and vocal hits from the sixties to the current day and suitable for most private and corporate events

size ranges from a duo or trio for the smaller event to a big band with many stops between

covers spells out a variety of styles as opposed to tributes where the accent is on a famous group or solo singer

covers bands - up to £1000

this really means a duo, three or four piece band with a combination of vocals and instrumentals and a wide range of material suitable for smaller events where price and flexibility are all important

key considerations are whether you would like a girl singer and with a maximum of four, sax or brass is doubtful unless the back line does not feature drums

covers bands - £1000 to £2000

this range opens the door to bigger bands - five, six or seven where a featured girl singer or even two singers is the norm and a sax player a definite possibility

it is not uncommon for smaller covers bands to add extra players and bigger bands to reduce in size for midweek or short notice dates

most of our covers bands are fully self contained offering CD background music for dinner and two or three sets totalling between 2 and 3 hours - no band plays for longer than 2 hours without a break and one hour or one hour and a half are ideal set times

covers bands over £2000

some six and seven piece bands and all bands from eight upwards charge fees between £2000 & £4000 and big bands are in the £3000 to £4500 bracket

a few exceptional bands are priced even higher - especially if they have developed a good stage show

the fee is determined through reputation and the value and prestige brought to the event

successful events require many good aspects - not least a really good band if it's live music you want

covers v tributes - the fors and againsts!

the burning question is whether you want a single style of group with a comparatively short featured spot or a mixed bag with up to three hours playing...

if it's the latter you are better off with a covers band - the advantage with a tribute is you are as near as it gets to the real thing both musically and visually

if you go for a tribute group, you will need a second band or disco unless your dance period is short and there is the cost to consider!

tributes start at £1500 and go up to £20000 - covers bands start at £1500 and go up to £12000 and discos start at £400 and go up to £1000 - there are many combinations
