lighting is no longer simple!
and lighting for outdoor events is often overlooked unless it is clear that the event is at night
we have long summer evenings and it's dark around 10pm in mid summer but much earlier in September (varying from 7pm to 8pm depending on cloud cover)
lighting control may well involve the use of generators and extensive power distribution but some events require a modest but effective solution that is within most budgets
from a choice of candles or tea lights to an enormous concert rig, the scope of lighting in event presentation is enormous - to be sure of the best result the brief should be accurate because lighting technicians can only get the best results if they are working with the correct equipment
the question of rigging then arises both for effectiveness and for safety - many venues still place little emphasis on installed lighting and require the temporary installation of extra equipment
is it stage lighting? uplighting special features? mood and colour emphasis? garden and outdoor lighting? lighting for performers? safety lighting? led or moving heads? pin spots? torches, flares or lanterns for outside? plus the whole question of power distribution and lighting plots and design
a huge subject and we work with the suppliers who we feel offer the best all round service
